MiddleSchool Math Teacher
Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Overview:
Salem Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to serve as a Middle School Math Teacher. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching math concepts to students and is committed to integrating Christian values into their teaching.
Courses may include 6th Grade Math Fundamentals through Pre-Algebra
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging math lessons for middle school students, focusing on building a strong foundation in mathematical principles.
Create a classroom environment that encourages learning, inquiry, and critical thinking.
Incorporate Christian principles and a biblical worldview into lessons and classroom management.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet the varying needs of students at different skill levels.
Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in curriculum and instructional practices.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any field (required).
Preferred experience in math-related fields
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with students, parents, and staff.
A passion for Christian education and integrating faith into teaching.
Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to manage classroom behavior in a positive, constructive manner.

Classroom teachers, in particular, are required to complete both Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) checks. As part of this process, employees must present themselves for fingerprinting as outlined in the background check protocol.
